Ok so here’s 694. A pretty fun chapter.
Also now officially the series is finally going to really end for reals this time with 5 more chapters. I’m not sure if this one counts in that but maybe?
I think it makes sense to me pacing-wise as everything’s wrapped up now except for the final confrontation and end to the Utsuro/Shouyou plotline. But I’ll still be sad to see the series go.
I think so far this denouement arc makes more sense to be the final arc than the previous one as it gives more to the main themes of the story and I think that makes it more satisfying. Though the last arc was longer and gave a kind of wrap-up to most storylines, this gives a good conclusion for all the characters and emphasizes what their mission statement is and such.
Anyhow I’ll definitely enjoy having the extra free time. This took forever to translate.
I’m excited to see how Sorachi-sensei finally ends things off.
