Aaall right then. Since Zankyou went so well, we’re starting up this other project!
This is also a project I’ve wanted to do for a while. And also one that’s very dark and depressing! Maybe there’s a pattern there? (It’s really just because I love depressing stories).

This project is called Sensei no Shiroi Uso by Torikai Akane. The title translates to “The Teacher’s White Lie”. It’s a monthly seinen manga that ran in Morning Two, published by Kodansha.
The series ran from September of 2013 to October of 2017. So it just ended recently with its 8th volume.
It was nominated for the 2018 Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, which is a pretty major manga award. Check out the other series that were nominated if you get a chance, all I’ve read so far are pretty interesting.

So, like I said this series is pretty dark, so reader discretion is advised. I haven’t read the whole thing yet (Meaning to soon) but I do know it has themes of infidelity, rape, suicide, gender inequality, blackmail, and murder. So if you’re not interested in a manga about that sort of thing, you may want to read something else.

So here’s chapter 1. I’ll be doing more as I have time among other things. We may end up releasing it a bunch of chapters at a time or by volume in the future, depending on how things go. I’ll be finishing up translating the remaining chapters of 81diver hopefully in the next month or two. And I’m still trying to get Takeshi chapters done when I’m able to muster up the strength to do them (They’re reallly wordy). Plus Gintama is probably ending soon. So once some ongoing projects end, I’ll probably be able to work on projects like this more frequently. That said I’ll try to get more out soon. And thanks a whole lot to Anline for typesetting and Huldra for the quality check.
