It’s not kanji that makes it hard. Kanji is just “words”. What makes it hard is the sheer density of really hard to understand jokes and references. Colloquialisms that are hard to understand, things where it’s not clear what’s being referred to, etc. Then on top of that, even after you understand it, you need to come up with a way in English to make it sound funny/interesting/emotional, whatever. The fact that it’s so much and takes so much time to get so little done is what makes it hard. Like these 19 pages took like 8-10 hours.
