And here we are at 33. This one’s a fun one-off chapter. We’ve got just 3 chapters left in Wide-Ban 2 now.
By the way, it’s around the last few chapters of Wide-Ban 3 that like… a lot of the main cast gets introduced. And we get into the first really big arc. There’s 6 big arcs in Takeshi and that would be the first one, the “Mummy Arc”. I think I’m gonna go with romanizing it as “Mummy” because it’s probably the least awkward one.
I’m hoping once we get the Jojolion volume scanlations going and I’m caught up with Ikoku Nikki I can focus on Takeshi a bit more, maybe get them out at a faster pace. We’ll see how that goes.
Edit: Photoshop screwed up one of the heart symbols on export somehow. I fixed that and reuploaded it.

This manga reminds me a little bit of One-Punch Man (webcomic, not Murata-sensei’s redraw). Simple premises yet they sure have a lot of hearts. Takeshi’s quickly becoming my favorite among his works. Say, compared to Toriko or his shorter works which definitely fills the epicness/humor quota, but not so much on the hearts quota (ymmv).
My favorites moment so far:
– Takeshi to Tendou. Kewl’s translation was something like “rather than you alone taking 100 steps forward, getting everyone to take 1 step forward is far more important”.
– Takeshi to the teacher with dead goldfish when he stopped his anger with a sympatethic touch and an understanding look. “Tear is something you never outgrow” said the teacher iirc.
