And here we are, at last, at the conclusion of this story arc. Chapter 191! The next chapter is scheduled for May 27th Japan time so we’ll see you then.

At the moment I’m working on finishing DRCL v1 which took WAY longer to do than I expected because of the huge effort it takes to clean and redraw. But now it’s finally almost done so it’ll probably be out one of these days. Also I’m working on Shima Kosaku volume 5. Also if it’s not already obvious there was no Ikoku Nikki chapter this month, but there is one next month. Also volume 9 is coming out soon so we’re going to do a volume version of the series for that at some point, though that’s not the highest priority.

I just moved into a new apartment so a lot of my time in the last month was spent packing and unpacking and figuring out what I needed to buy and fixing all these little issues that came up, but I think finally that’s all settled and I can get back into doing regular work on this stuff. Mostly I wanna get more Shima Kosaku done, but I’ll probably take some breaks from that to do some smaller things.

Here’s 190! I think we’re nearing the end of this match now. I really like it, it’s been a great examination of Nikaidou’s inner life as a character.

Well we just released a bunch of stuff back to back the last three days. Go check it out everyone. I’m pretty exhausted from it but now I’m going back to working on volume 1 of DRCL and volume 4 of Shima Kosaku until those are done, which will take some time. The next 3-Gatsu chapter won’t be in the next issue so it’ll probably come out around this time next month.

Yay ok so here’s this! We did it. I finally finished all 3 HQ volumes that came out all around the same time in the last 2 months. This is the volume version of the last… bunch of chapters.

I should note here, Umino-sensei combined a bunch of chapters (Likely so they don’t end so abruptly) resulting in this:
172 and 173 and 174 were combined to just 172
Old 175 is now 173
Old 176 is now 174
177 and 178 were combined to be the new 175
Old 179 is now 176
Old 180 is now 177
Old 181 is now 178
182 and 183 were combined to the new 179

So, she did this once before in volume 14 and now has done it several more times. So likely volume 17 will just start on chapter 184, the next chapter in the magazine, and mysteriously be missing a bunch of chapter numbers. By doing this she removed the intro title pages and instead either moved them later or used small sorta thumbnail-sized versions as spacer pages between other chapters. I included the magazine versions as extras after their “thumbnail version” appears.

Also as usual there are a lot of little alterations. Some lines are shifted on the page or reworded slightly. That’s in addition to the articles by Senzaki Manabu 9-dan and extra pages at the end and some visual changes like adding highlights and different screen tones. Here’s a pastebin of my whole translations of all the extras/changes if you want to know in extreme detail.

Because of ALL of those things in addition to redoing all the cleans and redraws and stuff, this was really a lot of work. And I’m completely exhausted. Very glad these are all done. Also I’m glad Umino-sensei only releases one new volume every year to year and a half. The last one we released was in August of 2020 (This volume was released September 29th, by the way. So we got through the whole thing in under a month.) Anyhow, I hope you all enjoy this. The next chapter comes out… sometime in the future, not next issue. Also we can’t upload this to Mangadex until they re-enable editing chapters. (Also I dunno how the hell I’m even gonna do that because the chapter numbers are all messed up now.)

Edit: A couple minor mistakes were found and fixed since we first posted this.

Edit 2: They finally added editing pages back to Mangadex so this is up on Mangadex now. Here’s a link. On Mangadex you need to upload things by chapter so if the author just skips chapter numbers you run into a problem, so I just added a filler page for chapter 153 with a note saying “There is no chapter 153”. For chapter 180-183 I’m going to leave the magazine versions up for now because I can’t say for sure there “is no chapters 180-183” until volume 17 comes out. But we have notes on the bottom of the table of contents and extra pages in this volume explaining the “combined chapters” thing.

There’s no new chapter next issue, so the next one will be in maybe a month or so (or longer, we dunno).
We got volume 16 and we’re working on that but it’s gonna take a while.

Meanwhile I’m still working on Takeshi, JoJolion volumes, and there’s no Ikoku Nikki chapter this month but the new volume is coming out soon. So I’ll have that too. But I’ve been overwhelmed with IRL stuff this week and haven’t gotten a lot done, gonna try to get some of that done over the weekend.

Hey, so here’s the first new chapter in a while!

Volume 16 comes out next week and we’ll be doing a volume version of allll those chapters (167-183) whenever I’m able to find time for it. Also the next new chapter of 3-Gatsu comes out in the next issue of Young Animal which comes out October 8th Japan time. So see you then!

I’m working on trying to get to the end of translating Takeshi whenever I have a spare minute but also we’re scanlating a volume version of JoJolion volume 27 and we’re also trying to keep getting actual finished chapters of Takeshi done too, so I’ve been really busy these last few days.

Here’s chapter 183! This one’s from Nikaidou’s perspective! Fun!

There’s no chapter next issue. It seems like we’re getting these coming out once a month fairly consistently, so the next one is probably gonna be the 4th Friday of July. Though volume 16 is coming out September 29th. So once that’s out we’ll be working on a volume-version of volume 16.
