Here’s 89! The last translation I finished was for chapter 138 so there’s 109 left to translate. At the moment I’m just working on this by myself because Joeabandonedmine’s been MIA for a bit. Which has been pretty difficult because I still have over 100 chapters to translate and it’s going to make the whole project take a lot longer because, well, there’s only so many hours in the day I can devote to working on this. So if folks out there want to volunteer to help clear or letter this, I’d appreciate it. It would definitely make it go faster at this point (There’s about 50 translated chapters that don’t have the other tasks done right now) you can email me at kewl0210@gmail.com. We do have guides and stuff.

Anyhow, enjoy the chapter everybody. This is a pretty good one with a lot of heart.

Here’s chapter 182! That’s a thing here.
I don’t really know what the deal is with the title of this. In Japanese it’s 道~みち~ (1). Which just means path/road twice, once in kanji and once in hiragana. So I just called it Path ~Path~. I dunno what else to call it. Uh, so if that ever gets cleared up I guess we can change it?

Also RIP Miura Kentarou. He and Umino-sensei were friends and based on what she’s said on twitter it’s been really hard on her. And I’m pretty sad about it, too.

Here’s 88! The last translation I finished was for chapter 136 so there’s 111 left to translate. I typeset this one too, which I guess I’ll keep doing until Joeabandonedmine gets back. But like I said before, it does cut into time I would otherwise be using to translate. And there’s still a lot of that to do.

Here’s 87! The last translation I finished was for chapter 134 so there’s 113 left to translate. I’m gonna try to help out with typesetting as Joeabandonedmine has been busy. But like translating 113 more chapters while ALSO cleaning and typesetting is really time consuming so I’ll do the best I can but I’m focusing mostly on translating for now cause I’d like to at least finish that part in the near future.

Ikoku Nikki Volume 7

Whew, ok here’s volume 7. Uh so this is really basically not different from the chapter releases at all. There’s a couple of screentones added, an extra page at the end, and the cover. And there’s no insert texts. It took a while because it’s sort of… barely an upgrade over the magazine version if at all. The proportions of the pages change slightly for the volumes so some image data is removed and some is added (Sometimes) on the edges. I think in the future we might just use the digital volumes for the volume releases for Ikoku Nikki because Shodensha’s digital volumes are basically the same quality as we would end up after cleaning and compressing these (Unlike Shueisha’s). For a couple of screen tones and stuff they actually look better in the digital volume versions as a result of the really thin white lines in Asa’s hair and some things like that which can get slightly lost due to the noise that results in the texture of the physical pages (Unless we made the output scans like, uncompressed super-high resolution). And obviously using the digital versions is less work.

Anyhow I hope y’all enjoy this! Uh, there’s probably 2 more chapters before we get a release date for volume 8.

Here’s this! It’s a good chapter! And was a HUGE headache to translate. This series is really quite hard despite not being super heavy on text. There’s a lot of emotional stuff and things said in non-straightforward ways. The next chapter is in next month’s Feel Young. And also I’m trying to get the volume version of volume 7 done at some point but I need to like, balance it around all the other stuff I’m doing.

Hopefully Mangadex gets back up soon. They’re public testing the backend API now so it can’t be too long.

Here’s 86! The last translation I finished was for chapter 132 (in Wide-Ban 8) so there’s 115 left to translate. I took a break for a week to do Yuugai Muzai Gangu but I’m back onto it now. I’m gonna try to help with typesetting too so we avoid this situation where there’s a bunch of chapters released between big gaps of a few weeks.

Mangadex’s back end API is up at least so hopefully they get the front end up soon. I’ve got like a ton of stuff to upload as soon as they do.
