Hey, so here’s a few more! I hope everyone had some happy holidays. I was mainly busy with that last week so we didn’t get a ton of these done but we did get 4 chapters finished. We’re now on to wide-ban 11! We’re really making progress but I’ve also got other IRL stuff to do in January and February which may take up some of my time from using it all to just clean and typeset Takeshi so we’ll see how long it takes to get the rest done. There’s 55 chapters left to go.

189: This one’s a fun gag chapter about the kids putting on a play and the broadcast chairman and a foreign king commenting on it.
190: This one’s a bit different. It’s about Kaori-sensei when she was a student and barely has any gags and it’s written more like a one-shot chapter for a shoujo manga. But it’s pretty interesting and good as a one-off.
191: This one’s on the other end of things in being a very silly one-off gag chapter about a giant walking fat thing that causes the weather to be really hot. It’s mostly fat jokes.
192 This one s a fairly serious one about Bonchuu. Bonchuu doesn’t really have much focus as a character and is mainly just a tough guy who fights. This one gets back to his original backstory about his insecurities because his little sister died when he was younger. This chapter also FINALLY finishes the Leader Preschool Center Entrance Exam Answer Checking in the bonus pages which was a real headache to translate and typeset.

Bluhhh ok I’m exhausted but here’s a ton of this. This contains quite a lot, the end of the Leadara Disease arc and also a bunch of one-off gag chapters including a lot of great and emotional ones. I hope you all enjoy.
I’m trying really hard to hunker down and get the rest of this series cleaned and typeset. This next week I’m gonna be away on vacation so we’re not gonna have so much done next weekend. But anyhow I’m tired so I can’t write much today. Gonna try really hard to get to the end of the series soon, maybe finishing around late February or so. There’s 59 chapters left to go.

Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi! Wide-Ban 10 (Ch 170-188)

Here’s the next bunch! We’re in wide-ban 10 now! We really made it to the double-digit wide-bans! If you remember years ago when we were getting like one chapter out every month this seemed totally impossible. But I guess that happens when it becomes your main focus and all your other major projects are done or caught up.

170-171: This is one short two-chapter arc about the main cast going to Okinawa to do a silly gag quest to get a thing from a tree. It’s actually kind of Toriko-like just way more gag-ish. Also Bobobo is in it! The groups working on Bobobo-bo Bo-Bobo finally finished scanlating it after it being worked on on-and-off, switching between groups as one died and another one took over, over the last 18 years. So go check that series out now if oyu haven’t already.
172: This is a fairly strange one-off chapter where Takeshi becomes the inspiring teacher of a high school class of hoodlums for some reason! There’s fewer and fewer “normal school story” type stories as this series goes on for these one-off gag chapters.
173-176: Ok, now here we are at the next big arc after the Devil Black arc, the Leadara Disease arc! This one is one of those “Fantasic Voyage” style stories where some characters need to shrink down and explore a body to cure someone’s disease, but it’s much sillier and battle-y-er. And it splits the story between a bunch of characters outside his body doing one thing and a bunch inside his body doing another thing. This arc’s also got a lot of characters from the serious arcs making it one of the more overall-story-plot heavy arcs. This arc continues to chapter 182, which we should get to pretty soon.

With the holidays we probably won’t be able to get chapters out as fast for a bit but I’m trying to get as much done as I can while we have time. Cause I’d really like to finish this series sometime in the beginning of 2022, and finally have it all done and shift my focus of my free time to a bunch of other stuff I’ve put off. Anyhow, there’s 71 chapters left to go! Hope you enjoy these, everyone!

Here’s the next bunch! And we’ve completed wide-ban 9! These are all gag chapters. Uh, I figure since I’m helping with typesetting so we’re releasing a bunch a week now I could maybe write a little summary of what’s going on or what I think about each one? Generally I don’t because I don’t like spoiling stuff in each chapter and some are hard to describe without just saying “This is what happens” but let’s give it a try, otherwise it feels kind of unceremonious. to just show up and say “Here’s a bunch more, ok bye” every week.

164: This is a very silly meta chapter about Shimabuu telling his characters they need to be more hype in the new century. It’s got a lot of silly extreme shit in it.
165: This one is a goofy one about the really odd character of the Poppo Elementary school infirmary teacher. It’s also kinda heart-warming maybe?
166: This is another one of those “storybook” chapters where it’s a one-off folklore version of the characters. This one has nearly no jokes and is entirely sentimental and genuine. Which is kind of a weird departure for the series.
167: This one is a one-off gag chapter that barely has any of the main characters in it at all. It’s a comedy-duo style story of salarymen trying to kill themselves after the company they work for imploded, but it’s done in such a silly way it’s mainly just a lot of silly morbid humor and never gets serious really. It’s kinda like that beetle one for a ways back.
168: This one is the series debut of Legman! The long awaited weird shy alien character Legman with his weird abilities. This one’s pretty silly.
169: And this is the last one of wide-ban 9! It’s also about Legman now that things cooled down from meeting him in the last chapter. This one is VERY silly and absurd.

Ok, there’s this week’s chapters. We’ve got 78 chapters left in the remaining 4 wide-bans! We’re getting there!
