Jojolion 9

Hi. We’re doing this series now, too. It’s Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 8 – Jojolion. Mostly it’s being done by other people in the Jojo scanlating community, but not by any one group. So I volunteered our group to be the one releasing it. I’m the only one working on it that’s in our group otherwise. Right now, we’re trying to scanlate the remaining few chapters that have come out in the magazine, Ultra Jump (That’s chapter 10 and 11) and after that we’ll probably try to do volume scanlations (There are two volumes out right now, and the next one comes out in the summer) in better quality. We’ll see how it goes, it depends on people’s schedules. Anyhow, this series is monthly and won’t affect any of the other series or projects time-wise.
Thanks a lot to all the other guys working on it.

As I said before, I can’t get on the apiljuce server right now so we’re just using the other links until Zoma comes back. Also I’m in the middle of final as is most of the rest of the staff, so Gintama will get done in the next couple days at some point.

Toriko Volume 1

Someone once said…

Ah, and now, finally, here this is. This’s been a LOOOOOOONG time in the making. To give you perspective, I first scanned this volume in 2009. It took forever to get someone to clean it, until benii graciously did so a couple months ago. I was waiting to finish the backlog Gintama volumes to do this, but it wasn’t going to take that long (It ended up as only about 5 days of work) to get this done, so I went through it over the last week or so.
Originally, I started translating Toriko at chapter 17 and have done it about every week since then. I later went back and translated the beginning and these are revisions of those translations, being checked for small errors and phrased better. I’ve wanted to do high quality volume scanlations of Toriko for a long time now, as the earlier scanlations of the issues aren’t very good. And we plan on continuing in the future after the Gintama back-chapters are done, and I’ll try to revise my earlier translations to have better flow and be more solid and technically correct (They’re not bad per se, but some of the more difficult lines have small errors that don’t really effect the plot).

I would like to state though, that this volume is available in many regions by this point. We at Hi Wa Mata Noboru are always trying to support the original authors by spreading their work to more people and we’re hoping that doing HQ volume scanlations will help attract new readers. But even if you don’t like the way the series is translated or censored and the like in your region, we ask you try to support Shimabukuro-sensei by buying the manga if you’re able. And of course you can always import the original Japanese version at yesasia.com, bk1.co.jp, fujisan.com, kinokuniya.co.jp or some other distributor. I buy it in Japanese, and I find it’s nice to have the actual books in your hands and on your shelf to read if you want.

Thanks to benii for checking it as well.
Thanks for your support everyone, hope you enjoy.

Delays

Sorry about the delays guys. Me and the rest of the staff have been pretty busy the last couple weeks with summer jobs and other stuff.
We’ll have Toriko caught up and have some more Gintama out soon, both are being worked on and shouldn’t take too much longer. Thought I’d just put an update here because it’s been so long.

Delays

Sorry for the delays guys.
Idol hasn’t been online in the last week and a half and we can’t clean Toriko without him. So Toriko’s delayed until he gets back. Don’t worry, he always does eventually. We’ll get caught up as soon as he gets back.
Several more Gintama chapters are in the works too.

Update: We got some people to fill in. The guys from Juin Jutsu Team told me Idol is having problems with his PC, as I expected. We should have the 3 Toriko chapters we’re behind on done pretty soon. They also said Idol would be back soon. Still waiting for the last bits before we have all of the Toriko chapters done.

Update 2: Idol is back. We’re waiting until all the back chapters are one before we release them, which should be any day now. Just waiting for Idol to finish cleaning the last one.

Delays

Sorry for the delays guys. Me and the other staff have had finals and final projects this week and last week, or else people are busy with Christmas stuff. The next two Toriko chapters should be out in the next couple days. Once finals are over we should get back to normal. We got a raw provider that can at least get us Jump raws by Saturday, but we’re still looking for someone who can do so earlier each week.

Also we’re gonna be working on the daunting task of catching up on Gintama. We finally have every job filled with at least one person (some two) so once my schedule is freed up I’ll be working like crazy on it. We’ve already got a few chapters translation checked and cleaned. Thanks for your patience guys.

Also, Toriko’s finally had it’s TV anime announced.
Check it out.

Quick Update

Just so you know, chapter 117 got delayed a little. One, because the raw didn’t come out till the following Wednesday, and two because Idol’s having problems with his computer. So sit tight a bit.
Toriko is on hiatus for the next issue of Jump, so we’re not behind otherwise. The next chapter (118)’s raw should show up around this weekend, the 12th-14th.

Also, with Gintama we’re gonna scanlate using the tankoubon, volume raw of V36. So it should make it a little easier to get things cleaned (since it’s higher quality and therefore needs less work on it) despite not having enough staff to get it done regularly at this point. At least until we finish all the chapters in the volume.

Status Update

Just to keep everyone up to date, the raws for Toriko last week (chapter 105) were really late, by about 5 days, and now the raws for this weerk (106) are out, so it’s caused a delay. We’re working on these now. Also the next Gintama chapter should be done soon. But this weird thing with Toriko’s raws is causing some delays.

We have a few people who applied to help clean Toriko and Gintama. I was going to only get people for Gintama but I think Idol needs some help, and it would probably speed things up so I’m going to accpet people to do Toriko, too.

If you want to help out, and have experience or at least enough knowledge to clean on your own, and want to help out, email me at Kewl0210@gmail.com
Or contact me on AIM or MSN, my screennames are Kewl0210 and Kewl0210@hotmail.com respectively there.

Thanks for your patients, everyone.

HWMN Website Up

Well, we setup a blog as a website. I’m still editing it and setting up.

Update: Okay, I think I’m done for now. Toriko 98 and the one remaining chapter we skipped, 89, should be done fairly soon. The staff’s been kinda busy this week.

If there’s anything about the website you’d like to ask or comment about, leave it in the comments or email me at Kewl0210@gmail.com
I may still add more stuff if I think of anything, and add the the FAQ if we get any questions.
