Ok, and here’s this. Volume 22.
We are now caught up with new volumes again! And will be for like 3 weeks.
I mentioned this in the last post, but v3-8 are all cleaned and redrawn. It’s just the process of editing and transferring the text for those 6 volumes. I finished cleaning and redrawing v8 so everything is at that text-transfer step now. That part requires multiple people checking in addition to transferring the text over so it’ll still be some time. We’re gonna try to get them out fairly frequently if we can, cause really I just want this backlog out of the way (That’s why I spent the last like 2 months scanning/cropping/aligning/redrawing them). And I’m still doing all that other stuff.

There’s a calamity and it’s not ending any time soon.

Uh, sorry a lot is taking a while. A lot’s going on.
Right now I’ve been focusing on getting the old Jojolion volumes done and getting the new Innocent volume translated. Jojolion v3-8 and 22 are all cleaned and redrawn (except one that’s almost done) and we just need to update the typesetting styles and update the translations to be a bit better, which shouldn’t be TOO long a task per volume.
And Innocent I only have like 1 and a half chapters left to translate. Though it’s still gotta be cleaned and redrawn and typeset. I’m about done with my tasks on those for a bit so I’m going to try to get more Takeshi and Ikoku Nikki chapters translated soon. Once those partially-done things are done, my next focus is to get the remaining 12-ish Ikoku Nikki chapters and get caught up. And then at some point we’re gonna do Neko ga Nishi Mukya v2. Also we’re working on the next 3-Gatsu no Lion chapter and Dascalon is almost done with the v15 scanlation using the high quality volume raws. So yeah there’s a lot going on, and I’m just trying to get something done every day.

Anyhow how are ya’ll doing? I hope you’re reading lots of manga during your social-distancing.

Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi! Ch. 34

Here’s 34! This one’s just a fun gag one-off. We found an okay-quality version of one of the color pages.
I forget if I mentioned this before, but for most of the color pages, we’d need to buy the old issues of Jump from 1997-2002. Which would be really expensive and isn’t really worth it. But occasionally you can find one online that someone scanned.

Right now I’m focusing on getting Innocent Volume 12 and the volume scanlations of Jojolion volumes 3-8 and 22 done. So stuff’s a bit slow going as those are all pretty big projects. We’re making good progress on them though.
The next 3-Gatsu chapter should be done pretty soon and Dascalon is making good progress on volume 15.

Neko ga Nishi Mukya Ch. 13

Here we are with the new Neko chapter! Please enjoy. This one’s pretty heartwarming, I thought.

I’m working REALLY hard to try to get more of everything else done. The last week’s been exhausting as I rebuilt my computer nearly from scratch and had a bunch of problems I needed to fix. I reinstalled Windows and had to re-setup everything. That’s all fixed now though. I’m trying really hard to make progress on the 7 old Jojolion volumes we still need to scanlate (Like redoing them using volumes rather than magazines as raws (It’s a good number of steps and can take a while). Plus I’m working on more Ikoku Nikki and Takeshi and the final volume (volume 12) of Innocent Rouge is now out, so I’ve been translating that. So I’ve got a full plate at the moment, but I’m hoping to get through a lot of this fairly soon.

Also Neko ga Nishi Mukya volume 2 is out now. So I’m gonna have to find time to do the volume version of those chapters at some point.

Anyhow, enjoy this chapter. Next one should come out in April.

Seikimatsu Leader Den Takeshi! Ch. 33

And here we are at 33. This one’s a fun one-off chapter. We’ve got just 3 chapters left in Wide-Ban 2 now.
By the way, it’s around the last few chapters of Wide-Ban 3 that like… a lot of the main cast gets introduced. And we get into the first really big arc. There’s 6 big arcs in Takeshi and that would be the first one, the “Mummy Arc”. I think I’m gonna go with romanizing it as “Mummy” because it’s probably the least awkward one.

I’m hoping once we get the Jojolion volume scanlations going and I’m caught up with Ikoku Nikki I can focus on Takeshi a bit more, maybe get them out at a faster pace. We’ll see how that goes.

Edit: Photoshop screwed up one of the heart symbols on export somehow. I fixed that and reuploaded it.

Innocent Rouge Volume 11

Ok, here we are at last, volume 11. This took kind of a while because we’ve all had a lot going on, but here it is.
Volume 12 is going to be the last one. All the chapters that’ll make up volume 12 are out in the magazine now, so I’ll probably start translating them soon. Volume 12 itself comes out February 19th, so not too long from now. We’ll try to get it done not too long after the fact.

Meanwhile we’re still working on all that other stuff.

Ikoku Nikki Ch. 13

And here’s 13!
Again, I’d really like to get this series out faster so we could catch up to the current chapters in the near future. Gonna try to focus on this a bit more now that a lot of year-end stuff is done and Innocent is nearly finished.

Oh, also Ikoku Nikki got nominated for a major manga award, the Manga Taishou 2020 award. It was nominated for the same award last year. But it’s up there with some really good manga, including a bunch I want to check out sometime soon if I can find the time. https://news.livedoor.com/article/detail/17689789/
