OKAY! Here we are, volume 23 of 81diver. This has been slow to release because high8sky has been busy with work and her wrists have been hurting recently.
BUT, we managed to get this one done. I ended up doing about half the typesetting for it though on top of all the translating and checking. Also thanks a lot to Stutterbus for helping typeset.
Right now I’m ALMOST done translating this series, I only have about 30 chapters left to go. My hope had been it would be scanlated at about even pace as I translated it, but obviously that hasn’t happened as we’ve only gotten 3 volumes out in about 6 months. Also I’ve been working on this project since 2012, and it’s reallllly taken a long time to get done because there were quite a few problems getting it scanlated originally. If you wanna hear that whole depressing tale, I wrote about it here.
BUT (again), once I finish translating it I’ll be able to use that time I’d spent translating to help with typesetting more (I also need to scan a lot of the later volumes and I may have to help clean, too). I’m trying to balance all that alongside Gintama, JoJolion, Sensei no Shiroi Uso, Innocent, and Takeshi. So, it’s a lot, but I’m really hoping to focus on this series and hopefully get it all done this year. It’s the last project I started back when I was still in college that we haven’t finished (Besides ongoing series) so it’ll a major milestone to finally get this done.
Hopefully we should get volumes out at a more rapid pace after this. Until then, check out V23! It’s a good volume, the conclusion of Chicchi VS Himiko is in this one! Enjoy everybody!
