Here’s chapter 4 of Takeshi! Here’s the intro I wrote about it if you haven’t seen it yet.

Like I said, I’ll only be able to get these out when I have time between other larger projects that I’ve been working on for a long time that I’m trying to finish. But I’ll try to get a chapter done every once in a while. Enjoy!

Toriko 396 (Volume Version with Extras)

Hey everybody. So we thought for fun we would do this as an extra thing. We originally released this chapter a couple months ago when it came out in the Jump magazine, and final volume of Toriko, Volume 43, came out right on New Years. So we took the extra pages between chapters and redid the last chapter using the digital volume version. This includes the color pages from the magazine plus the bits of extra stuff and touch-ups Shimabukuro-sensei added to the last chapter along with his final farewell to the series. Plus the quality is better because it’s a better raw source. I hope you all enjoy.

Apparently there are are a few more pages added elsewhere in the middle of the volume, too.

There’s not that much there in terms of story. Basically just some added action, Aimaru’s body reacting to Center, and Pair saying that Neo had devoured the entire Blue Space and could devour all of Red Space, where our story takes place, if he wasn’t sealed. It adds a bit more to their character development. Right now I’m not planning to try to do anything else on this series, but if you guys REALLY WANT US TO, we can try to do the whole V43 in high quality using scanned raws rather than digital ones to get everything as good as possible. Just keep in mind that would take a while and it would take time away from other projects, so let me know what you guys want, I’m not sure either way. Let me know, and I hope you all enjoy this.

Here’s chapter 3 of Takeshi! Here’s the intro I wrote about it if you haven’t seen it yet.
I’d like to get these out faster but at the moment I’m focusing on getting 81diver and The Book translated which are both huge projects I’ve been doing for years and would really like to finish up (The actual scanlating, everything past the translating of 81diver will take longer since it’s still around 10 volumes behind my translations). But I’ll try to get one of these out once in a while. We’re still barely out of the gate, stuff’s still getting introduced, but the comedy is there. This chapter introduces Gonzou, one of the main characters. I hope you all enjoy it.

And in case anyone forgot, there’s no Shounen Jump this week, so Gintama won’t be back till next week.

Oh, and happy new year, everybody.

Ok, and we have the next one done. Scanlations are slowly but surely catching up to where I have translated. Though I’m hoping I can get the rest translated in the next few months if I can manage to squeeze it in among all the other stuff I have my time used for.

And again, if anyone didn’t see before, there’s no Weekly Shounen Jump this week (The week of December 25th-31st). And it’ll be back next week.

And here we are again with this!
There’s no Jump next week as the 2nd of the 2 weeks off that are always done at the end of the year with Jump. So see you all in the new year for more Gintama. The new anime starts on the 8th in Japan, so we’ve got that to look forward to.

Ok, Jojolion’s back. Check it out.
There were some announcements with ads you might’ve seen online. There’re bunkobans of Steel Ball Run coming out, a new smart phone game called Diamond Records coming out next year, Volume 14’s coming out today I think, and they said more stuff will come out for the 30th anniversary in 2017. Though technically the first chapter of Jojo ran in Jump something like December 6th 1986, but the first volume didn’t come out until 1987, so it’s really PAST the 30th anniversary already. But I think the idea is 2017 is Jojo’s 30th 12-month calendar year so they’re celebrating the 30th anniversary all through next year. Plus there’s the live action movie coming out and all that. Also Jump Ryu, a little behind-the-scenes magazine/DVD about Araki and Jojo is coming out on the 31st if anyone wants to check that out. So there’ll probably be some cool stuff soon coming down the pipes.
