Ok so here’s 694. A pretty fun chapter.
Also now officially the series is finally going to really end for reals this time with 5 more chapters. I’m not sure if this one counts in that but maybe?
I think it makes sense to me pacing-wise as everything’s wrapped up now except for the final confrontation and end to the Utsuro/Shouyou plotline. But I’ll still be sad to see the series go.
I think so far this denouement arc makes more sense to be the final arc than the previous one as it gives more to the main themes of the story and I think that makes it more satisfying. Though the last arc was longer and gave a kind of wrap-up to most storylines, this gives a good conclusion for all the characters and emphasizes what their mission statement is and such.
Anyhow I’ll definitely enjoy having the extra free time. This took forever to translate.
I’m excited to see how Sorachi-sensei finally ends things off.

OK, here’s 693. Kinda short chapter this week but a fun one. A fun game to play is take a drink whenever Kondou goes from having a scar to not having a scar or visa-versa.

This week is a double-numbered issue of Jump so there will PROBABLY be no issue next week for the Obon festival in Japan. Though sometimes it goes weird like it did in January and we get the “after the break” one early and then a break the following week.

I’m sure doing things.

I’ve been mostly using all my free time to try to get 81diver finished. I’ve been working on the later volumes while the rest of the staff is working on the next couple to be released. But they’ve been unable to do much for various reasons. So now everything’s pretty much all scanned, translated, and cleaned, but barely any is typeset. So I’m gonna shift to doing that soon and we should start getting them released.
