Hey everybody, here’s Jojolands 21. We had a whole bunch of problems getting early raws this month and were eventually able to with a backup source and then we were working nonstop since then to get it done for now. Sometimes our raw sources are inconsistent and we can’t be sure if we’ll get it early to be able to release it same-time as it comes out in Japan. There’s been lots of problems with those this year, but we’re gonna keep trying. Sometimes working on this project and trying to get it all done in one day to get it out this fast is really stressful, so I dunno ho long I can keep it up, if I’m being honest. But we’re gonna keep going for now, who knows what’ll happen next month.

In the meantime, The JOJOLands volume 5 just came out so we’ll be working on that. As usual it seems to be basically exactly the same as the magazine versions. One small notable change is Acca Howler has been changed from the 6th generation head of the Howler family to the 8th generation head (it comes up in chapter 21 as well). Anyhow we’ll be working on that but it’ll take some time to get a physical raw, scan it, clean it, etc.

Volumes 13 and 14 of Kokou no Hito are cleaned and typeset so they’re being checked now so there should be more Kokou no Hito done soon. The end of the series is really easy due to not having much text so I’m trying to just focus on that and get all the way to the end. A lot of the last few volumes have chapters where half the pages have no text on them so they’re very easy. So I figured I might as well just focus to get all the way to the end so this series is done. Then I’m gonna go back to focusing on Shima volume 12 once that’s finished.

Aaand we’re back! After a month break The JOJOLands is once again, having chapters come out. We’re right back where we left off in that battle with Bobby Jean and Jodio. Not much else I can say without spoiling anything, honestly.

So meanwhile we’re working on more Kokou no Hito and Shima Kōsaku as usual. We just released Kokou no Hito volume 10, so go check that out. Kokou no Hito is really moving along so I’m going to try to get the rest of it finished in not *too* long as the remaining volumes have generally less text than the ones we’ve done so far.

Here’s chapter 19, folks! The battle in the hospital continues.
There’s no new The JOJOLands next month. There’s a message at the end of this chapter saying as much. The next chapter will be out on November 19th Japan time. There’s another Jojo magazine coming out so possibly Araki-sensei will be writing another one-shot of some sort for that or maybe he’s just taking a break.

Anyhow, we just released The JOJOLands volume 4 and Division Chief Shima Kōsaku volume 10. I’m in the middle of Kokou no Hito volume 6 and just started translating Shima volume 11. So that’s what we got going on! Go check all this stuff out! They take forever and I’m exhausted!

Aaand here is volume 4, folks! Man, volume 4 already? It feels like it wasn’t that long ago when the series just started. Like usual, this is a higher quality version of the magazine version done by scanning the physical volumes. There’s like a couple tiny details and screentones and stuff added and a few pictures in between the chapters but besides that it’s pretty much the same (Besides the standard higher resolution and more image data on top and bottom and slightly less on one side). Also they added Charming Man to the intro pages where the characters are introduced.

The next volume is just scheduled for “winter” of this year. That should contain up to chapter 20 probably. And only up to 18 are released so far. So that means maybe December or January I’m guessing. Right now I’m in the middle of working on Kokou no Hito volume 6 and I’m trying to get Shima volume 10 done which has been taking a while, but I’m finally most of the way done on that. I’ve had a bunch of stressful stuff going on IRL which has made it harder to get through all this stuff quickly. But yeah I’m gonna keep going on it steadily. I kind of need to decide how much I’m going to take breaks while also making sure everything gets finished.

And here’s chapter 18! This is the next part of the “That Girls’ Bags’ Groove” arc. Volume 4 is now also out so we’ll be working on that as usual. And as usual we need to buy it, scan it, clean it, redo all the redraws, etc. So it’ll take some time, I’ve gotta schedule all this stuff around the rest of my life which has been kind of stressful lately.

Meanwhile we’re in the middle of Kokou no Hito volume 5 and Shima volume 10. Those should hopefully get done before too long.

Hey everybody, here’s chapter 16! I hope you all enjoy, this one has a loot of text. When I work on these I’m basically doing it all day nonstop from when I wake up to when I go to sleep and then I do some finishing work in the morning the next day if anyone doing final checks made any comments when I was asleep. Honesly I dunno how long I can keep doing these because it takes so much out of me but I’ll keep going for now.

Meanwhile I’m still working on the next Shima Kousaku volume and Kokou no Hito V2 is almost done. Kokou no Hito is an easy series that I’ve already translated so I’m trying to prioritize that to get it all done, but the first like 4 volumes have a ton of text relative to the rest of the series. Then the last bunch of it has like almost none, half the pages have no text, so I can probably typeset a whole volume in like a day, whereas the first ones take like several days. So as it happens the BEGINNING is where all the effort is going to go to. I’m hoping to have that done pretty soon.

Also we finished our HQ scanlation of volume 3 the other day. So please check that out. It took a long freaking time to do all those pages and I really love how it turned out.

Okay everyone, here we are at chapter 15! This chapter is lots of fun and full of weird body horror. It’s more fun hanging out with a bunch of weirdos. The magazine comes out a bit early this month for some reason, not really sure why. Next time it comes out at the usual time on the 19th Japan time.

Hey folks! Here we are, volume 3! This contains the next four chapters and all in high quality. We spent a lot of work on this and now it’s finally all done. It takes a while because we need to scan it, align everything into images where the edges of the pages are the edge of the image, then re-clean and re-redraw everything in higher resolution. That’s in addition to checking for any differences from the magazine version. There are barely any of those in this volume besides “Charming Man” becoming two words and the titles changing. The price of the watch also changed to 80,000 dollars in every mention of its price. The rest are tiny things like fonts changing in a few places or a screen tone added or something. That and the intro pages and the little sketches between the chapters.

There’s no projected release date for the next volume, but it’s probably in around 4-5 months from the release of this one. The next one probably will have up to chapter 16, and 15 and 16 aren’t out yet. So maybe something like July-August or a bit later. 15 should be out this week when Ultra Jump comes out. Otherwise… we just released the new Shima volume and now this is all done so that’s all I’ve been doing since then. I just started on translating Shima volume 9 so I’ll be working on that. And since DRCL is done I have a couple other little projects I might wanna do sometime soon. I’m kinda debating what that should be still. Largely I’m trying not to overload myself with projects. Anyhow, enjoy!
