Whew, ok here’s volume 7. Uh so this is really basically not different from the chapter releases at all. There’s a couple of screentones added, an extra page at the end, and the cover. And there’s no insert texts. It took a while because it’s sort of… barely an upgrade over the magazine version if at all. The proportions of the pages change slightly for the volumes so some image data is removed and some is added (Sometimes) on the edges. I think in the future we might just use the digital volumes for the volume releases for Ikoku Nikki because Shodensha’s digital volumes are basically the same quality as we would end up after cleaning and compressing these (Unlike Shueisha’s). For a couple of screen tones and stuff they actually look better in the digital volume versions as a result of the really thin white lines in Asa’s hair and some things like that which can get slightly lost due to the noise that results in the texture of the physical pages (Unless we made the output scans like, uncompressed super-high resolution). And obviously using the digital versions is less work.
Anyhow I hope y’all enjoy this! Uh, there’s probably 2 more chapters before we get a release date for volume 8.
