Hey so Torikai-sensei got married to Asano Inio (Author of Oyasumi Pupun, Solanin, Dead Dead Demon’s Dededededestruction, and a bunch of other stuff).
She also released a book/blog about it. It’s called “Manga Mitai na Koi Kudasai” (Please Love me Like in a Manga) about the tribulations of her relationship with him up until they got married. So there’s a nice thing that happened.
K, so this concludes volume 5! We’ve got 3 volumes to go.

On an unrelated note, I’m pretty hard at work at the moment re-translating Gintama V33. Which is going to be fully typeset and everything once that’s done. Also on Gintama V75 which is scanned an in the process of being cleaned. Along with some other stuff that’s pending, we’ve also got the next 3-Gatsu no Lion coming out soon, though it doesn’t have a release date yet it’s probably pretty soon as it comes out around the same time every year. They’ve said that all the chapters for V14 have been released in the magazine, so I’m going to be working on translating those from the magazine raws while we wait for the actual volume to come out (It’s gonna be either late October or late November, most likely). Also I’m gonna try to get Volume 13.1, I guess? It’s the same thing akin to those fanbooks but it’s not sold in stores, it was only sold at an event, so I’m buying it off Yahoo auctions using a proxy service. And then Innocent Rouge V9 is coming out in mid-November, that already has a set release date for November 19th. So I’ll be starting on translating that from the digital magazines, too, somewhere in there. There’s also going to be a “big announcement” regarding Innocent in the next Grand Jump, which could be absolutely anything and your guess is as good as mine. Then of course the next Jojolion and Neko ga Nishi Mukya come out later this month. So me and the rest of the team have been really busy on stuff and I’m hoping some of it gets done soon.

Hey so this is the 2nd of the 3-Gatsu no Lion fanbooks. If you’re interested in what we’re doing here, see the post I made on the first one.
As before, we’re only including manga by Umino Chika in this. We also included a couple bonus single-page drawings other artists in Young Animal did that were included in the book. Most of the other contents we didn’t do are recaps, cooking recipes, and some interviews.

So this is the last of the fanbooks that’ve been published thus far. This covers up to volume 11. So most likely at some point in the future there will be an “advanced” guidebook. But thus far none has been announced.
As for the next volume of 3-Gatsu no Lion, volume 14, that still doesn’t have a release date. However the official Twitter has said that the chapter that appeared in Young Animal last week should be the last chapter appearing in volume 14 (That should be chapter 153). So it should get a release date soon. Probably the end of October. I’m probably going to start translating those chapters soon using the digital raws from the mangazine to get a jump on it once the actual volume comes out. So look forward to that.

Edit: So, now that this is out and there’s been some time for everyone to read it, turns out this is NOT the last chapter. And the series is going to finish off in Giga Jump. So we’ll be scanlating those, too, of course, whenever they come out.
Jump Giga has a very weird serialization. It’s the same magazine as Jump Next, Akamaru Jump, Jump Special. They rebrand it every once in a while. It’s mostly made up of one-shots or short series by newcomers as a way to test the waters and gauge what authors get new series. As of now it seems its schedule is they have 3 volumes in summer and 3 volumes in winter. It used to be once every 2 months, but now it shifted to one a month for 3 months, then 3 months off. I dunno how long the chapters are gonna be, but seemingly the first Gintama chapter will be in the one going on sale in December. They usually go on sale around the end of the month, like the 25th-29th. I’m sure they’ll advertise it a bit beforehand. And like before, we’ll keep doing volume versions as new one come out.
