Edit: So, now that this is out and there’s been some time for everyone to read it, turns out this is NOT the last chapter. And the series is going to finish off in Giga Jump. So we’ll be scanlating those, too, of course, whenever they come out.
Jump Giga has a very weird serialization. It’s the same magazine as Jump Next, Akamaru Jump, Jump Special. They rebrand it every once in a while. It’s mostly made up of one-shots or short series by newcomers as a way to test the waters and gauge what authors get new series. As of now it seems its schedule is they have 3 volumes in summer and 3 volumes in winter. It used to be once every 2 months, but now it shifted to one a month for 3 months, then 3 months off. I dunno how long the chapters are gonna be, but seemingly the first Gintama chapter will be in the one going on sale in December. They usually go on sale around the end of the month, like the 25th-29th. I’m sure they’ll advertise it a bit beforehand. And like before, we’ll keep doing volume versions as new one come out.

Did Sorachi trollishly rip off of Prince of Tennis’ ending AND basically had Otsu(Sakuno’s VA) to sing “Tenipuri tte ii na”?
I don’t know whether to laugh or cry or do both. I always felt Gintama should end with a massive troll ending and there we have it.
I’m really glad the Gorilla didn’t rush the ending and attempt to tie up all the loose ends in the final chapter and that he’s going to continue the story.
I’m glad you guys stuck it out and faithfully scanlated Gintama even after we all wondered when Gintama would finally end after the “final arc” announcement. Thank you for all your research and helping us readers understand Sorachi’s obscure references. Thank you for translating the dialogue as accurately as possible right down to the verbal tics and puns.
Finally, thank you for continuing to stick with Gintama after Gintoki announced the battle/story’s continuing in Jump Giga. Wonder if the Gorilla’s gonna add a subtitle to the title or something?

Oy, PoT isn’t bad! Well, i’ve never read the manga but the anime was kinda fun in it’s own stupid way…with that out of the way, i cannot express how much i love Gintama and Gorilla-sensei! Never change, never end, just keep on trolling us forever!<3
