And after so so much, Toriko finally gets an anime.

Sorry for the delays everyone, but the holidays tend to eat up people’s time. Anyhow, we got all these done. Toriko’s caught up again now, so I hope you enjoy it. We made sure to get all the stuff talking about the anime in color all typset right.

As for Gintama, the last chapters of V36 are almost done. We’re just waiting on Bomber D Rufi to put in the final wording on the translations after I translation checked them, and then we need to typset them. We’re gonna redo the first 3 chapters, too, with the volume raws so we’ve got the whole volume completed. Then we’re moving on to volume 37, then the magazine chapters.

By the way, there’s no Shounen Jump this week. It goes back into the regular release rate after this, though.

Toriko 121-122 & Gintama 313 Release

Old man in the center of the earth…

First Melk

Ok, so now it’s time to play catchup. Toriko’s next chapter, 122, should be done soon. It’s got all the color pages and stuff about the TV anime being decided so it’s taking a while to clean.

Gintama, we now finally have enough staff members to actually complete chapters. Benii has joined to clean and Uber is helping me typset. Now for the daunting task of doing about 20 chapters we’re behind on and catch AAAAAAAAALL the way back up.
But I can do it because I’m totally obsessive. Several are already cleaned and translation checked. Then maybe I’ll go back and fill in that first gap between the 290-310 area, MAYBE. We’re using volume raws for now because… they’re better. Once we get up to the point where there are only the magazine raws we’re gonna use those.

But enjoy these. We’ll be working on getting more stuff out soon.
Oh, and there’s no Shounen Jump this week, nor one two weeks from now. So… maybe we’ll get more Gintama out those weeks than other weeks.

Delays

Sorry for the delays guys. Me and the other staff have had finals and final projects this week and last week, or else people are busy with Christmas stuff. The next two Toriko chapters should be out in the next couple days. Once finals are over we should get back to normal. We got a raw provider that can at least get us Jump raws by Saturday, but we’re still looking for someone who can do so earlier each week.

Also we’re gonna be working on the daunting task of catching up on Gintama. We finally have every job filled with at least one person (some two) so once my schedule is freed up I’ll be working like crazy on it. We’ve already got a few chapters translation checked and cleaned. Thanks for your patience guys.

Also, Toriko’s finally had it’s TV anime announced.

We’ve gotten a few people trying out for helping with Gintama. Thanks. No one’s actually worked out to the point of cleaning chapters yet though.
Uh, well, here’s this. We’re hoping we’ll be able to get an earlier raw provider, it’s still up in the air as to whether that will come through or not. Some people can’t communicate too well.

All right, here’s this.
Like the last few weeks it took a while to do the scanlation because we didn’t get a raw until the middle of the week because of Vicissitude’s policy of not putting up raws until his team finishes their scanlation in order to forcibly get more cleaners.
So yeah, we might’ve found another raw provider but we’re still not sure about it, I’ll tell you how that turns out.

I’m gonna be working on Gintama as much as I can this weekend. So far we haven’t gotten anybody who has actually kept trying to the point of actually cleaning a chapter in terms of the people who applied. So if anyone actually wants to DO the job, please apply. It’s just got to be the same standard of cleaning as the other releases we’ve done, which for the most part you can learn with just reading a good tutorial, and there are a lot out there made by lots of groups.

Oh yeah, also there’s a spinoff of Toriko in Saikyou Jump, the monthly kodomo magazine starting in the December, that I couldn’t care less about.

Woo, explanations!

Ok, so see the previous post regarding why this was delayed. And as I also mentioned there was no Toriko last week, so 118 should probably be done in a few days, once we get the raw of it. Idol’s computer I think is pretty much back to normal now, too.

Also there’s something I wanted to explain about this chapter. We don’t really know the gender of Melk, the real one or the one we’ve been introduced to, here. For now I’m using “he” for both, but there’s no gender specific word used by anyone besides Toriko and Komatsu whom are speculating.

Oh, also I’m trying to vary up the pictures for the logo on the credits page. I think they look pretty sharp.

Quick Update

Just so you know, chapter 117 got delayed a little. One, because the raw didn’t come out till the following Wednesday, and two because Idol’s having problems with his computer. So sit tight a bit.
Toriko is on hiatus for the next issue of Jump, so we’re not behind otherwise. The next chapter (118)’s raw should show up around this weekend, the 12th-14th.

Also, with Gintama we’re gonna scanlate using the tankoubon, volume raw of V36. So it should make it a little easier to get things cleaned (since it’s higher quality and therefore needs less work on it) despite not having enough staff to get it done regularly at this point. At least until we finish all the chapters in the volume.

Raw came out on Sunday, so it took till now to finish.
I’ll definitely tell you if we ever get some other source…

I’m really gonna try to get the work done to get Gintama chapters coming out at a decent rate soon. It’s just difficult because we only have one cleaner who’s busy with his own group, and can’t really work week-to-week on it. That, and it takes a long time to translate and then check everything. We could use more help on that from anyone who has experience.

It should be obvious, but just in case, the second to last page, page 18, has the “Gourmet 115 / End” thing and preview of the next chapter on it. There’s still one more page after that.
As mentioned before, the last raw was late and we were busy, which caused this to be a couple days later than it could’ve been. But whatever. If ever we can get our own raw provider, that’d be nice but like I said it’s not something easy to get, since most places in Japan start selling Jump on Mondays.

And now I’m really gonna try to get back into doing Gintama again. We still haven’t gotten any more cleaners, but we’ll make dew with me and the one person who doesn’t have a lot of time for working on it.
